The is now accepting applications from current upper-level undergraduate and graduate students for summer 2022 opportunities with the National Park Service. Each opportunity with the SIP Program affords a distinct and memorable experience with projects that vary based on location, focus, and complexity. This year's projects include tracking coral reefs at War in the Pacific National Historical Park, community-based education and outreach at Everglades National Park, and surveying pollinator abundance at Yosemite National Park. Join us for a webinar featuring two 2021 SIP Fellows, as they discuss their projects and what it was like to work in a National Park. Scientist in Parks Fellows offer:

  • Full-time work at $640/wk for 12 weeks
  • Free or subsidized housing (in most cases, but not all)
  • Gain project experience during your summer break
  • Mentoring by an NPS supervisor
  • Ability to earn a Direct Hire Authority upon successful completion
